A couple weeks ago, an MUA at Sephora absolutely swore to me that he knew me because of those cherries. I had a difficult time convincing him he didn't, as he worked at the Sephora in Water Place Tower in Chicago, and I'd never even been to Chicago before!

    Medusa

For my next tattoo, I want to get three of these sirens. One on my left forearm, and two on one of my legs (an allusion to "Siren Song" by Margaret Atwood")

Mario, your Medusa tattoo is probably my favorite tattoo on anyone I've ever seen! It's so beautiful and detailed. Props for sitting through that!

I went this afternoon! This tattoo was more spur of the moment than I usually am, but I saw this design and it stuck with me. Nina really loved music (as I do), and I thought it might be nice to have a little something that would make me think of her when I saw it.

Forgive the crap quality of this picture, I don't own a nice camera, and it's difficult to take a good picture of your right inner wrist anyway.

That's cute! I love that it's on your inner wrist! Did it hurt? For me, that's the spot that hurts the worst.

I already have one on my inner left wrist, so I knew what to expect. I wouldn't say it really hurt, aside from when she was filling in directly in the middle of the wrist (I would assume there are some nerves under there). The nice thing about small tattoos is that they're over so quickly.

The one thing I hate is that whenever I get a tattoo, I sweat like crazy. It's not generally that it hurts, because I haven't found most of them particularly "painful," more like annoying. But while it's being done, I sweat horribly. I think it must be an autonomic response or something. I always need paper towels to wipe my forehead!

I've got one, a pretty feather on my right side.

Here's when I first got it:

And here's how it looks now!

Didn't hurt that badly...well, not until the shading started!
