Icon15 Rachel - KundaVega - all the love

I just got word through the grapevine that Rachel (KundaVega) is no longer with us. There is an obituary and tribute page set up here: http://www.tributes.com/show/Rachel-Lisi-89788058

LISI, Rachel Anne , 39, of Tampa, passed away on November 10, 2010. She is survived by her loving parents, Ernest and Judy Lisi, a brother Joel Peter Lisi and fiancée Tracy LaBarbera, an aunt and uncle Arleen Greene and Charles Tarinelli. Rachel was a graduate of the University of Tampa. She loved writing poetry, photography, travel and life in general. Rachel had many many friends and had an even bigger heart. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Rachel was supervisor of the box office at the Straz Center For The Performing Arts. A celebration of Rachel’s life will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday Nov. 14th at Tampa Unity, 3302 W. Horatio, Tampa 33609, with a reception following at the church. Those who so desire may make memorial contributions to OXFAM, Oxfam America office, 226 Causeway Street 5th Floor, Boston, MA 02114-2206 United States Email: info@oxfamamerica.org

I've only just heard the news, and I can't quite put any words together.

Someone wrote a lovely piece on facebook about Rachel. Go read it: http://www.facebook.com/notes/rachel...50104595262985

(Nov 12th would have been her birthday.)

Donations: Paypal whatever you like to kundavega@unforumzed.com. We'll use it to send flowers for her funeral and the rest will be donated to Oxfam. Trying to get the flowers to the service this Sunday, and any additional money will go to Oxfam as requested in the obituary published by her family.

    all the love

p.s. yes, Paypal will tell you you're sending it to someone called Sean. Don't worry, it's not some random stranger.

When I was scoping out library school programs several years ago, I remember her mentioning that she was considering an MLS as well. Just the other day I was wondering if she ever went ahead with that or not. How shocking and sad to know she's no longer with us.

I'm in total shock. Crying. I was just thinking of her this morning while on FB. Anyone know what happened?
She was such a kind soul and amazing artist. I loved her very much. I'm just lost for words right now.

I'm very sad that Rachel has passed on. She was one of my favorite posters here, and just a wonderful and lovely person. I remember she had sent me a collection of Kate Bush b-sides and a few mixes a few years ago, and she had impeccable taste as well as being very kind.
