Live at a radio thing (audio only) for John Peel's birthday in April 1999 - really beginning to experiment with the reverb effects and it sounds great. Just Polly and John Parish here; I believe some of these are the first time she played To Bring You My Love songs on guitar having just sang them on the two previous tours.
Set: Dry / Man-Size / Legs / Angelene / C'mon Billy / 50ft Queenie / Rid of Me / Teclo / Send His Love To Me (includes some forgotten words) / Oh My Lover
A performance of 50 Ft Queenie from her 2003 tour with Rob Ellis and Mick Harvey. She's a total powerhouse here, and insanely sexy to boot.
I agree, I was really impressed by it.
I'm currently going through PJ clips on YouTube chronologically (my live knowledge was shocking) and I am currently about to delve into the Stories era, and because I don't want to jump ahead yet I'll save that 50ft Queenie until I get to 2003. But I remember seeing her do Dress at V Festival 2003 in a similar/same outfit and it was a) amazing and b) yes, very sexy indeed.
One of my favorite live Hooks:
So demented.
Oh, and speaking of demented:

PJ FALLING
I just came across this tonight. Wait for the 0:58 mark. Fucking hilarious!
Amazing. City of No Sun is maybe my favorite from Dance Hall (along with Taut), and the live vocals are always insane. I wish it (and That Was My Veil) had been played on the last PJ/John Parish tour, but PJ's done it on her normal tours before so maybe it'll be in the set this time around.
Just watched this show in full - it is bloody fantastic. Polly is pleasingly relaxed and talkative and wow the performance is amazing. Interesting that "Angelene" came from the "My Beautiful Leah" drum machine part. And it makes me want a studio "Bitter Little Bird" too.
^ I wish we had a DVD / CD release of that show. I mean...well....it's just phenomenal.
^ yeah, i'm gonna rip those videos from youtube at the very least.
ETA: actually those youtube videos link to this post on atforumz: http://www.atforumz.com/showpost.php...60&postcount=1
looks like that person posted the DVD files for this same recording if people are interested.
So ridiculously sexy and confident.
(And check out those rhinestoned American flag shoes!)

That clip of her falling used to be on youtube under the title of 'Man Bitch takes a tumble' - which was a phrase that has haunted my brain ever since. I half expected it to show up as a lyric on one of her albums.
