I can never get that curl, but then again I don't live near an ocean. Might have something to do with that.
What is the shot just before the house? Looks man made but not entirely.
The mushrooms and mosses growing between the rocks...♥
And the ghosts that we knew will flicker from view
And we'll live a long life

It took me almost a year to get the timing right for waves. I started using the "sports" setting, that takes a series of quick shots. I eventually started to learn the pattern of when a wave is going to "curl"...

The shot before the house is of the trail that leads out to the Mendocino Headlands Bluffs... Looking backwards, it is littered with puddles from the rain storm. We were walking back to our room when I just happened to look back... I literally gasped and fumbled with my camera to get the shot before the last of the daylight faded.

And I love the mushrooms, too! Super tiny little guys that were growing between the boards of the deck, in front of our room. They're about an inch tall!

It looked like a trail, but not quite.

Some random photos from the past few days...

    My mom's cat, Tuffy.

    Tomato blossoms

    I love fuzzy tomato plants.

A seed pod I found while waiting for my train... It's from a local tree, haven't been able to identify it yet.

It's been frosty in the mornings lately.

Clearly, I love "close-up" shots. The details are always amazing to me

They're all wonderful, but I especially like the third one.

We drove to Portland last weekend (from Sacramento) I-5 all the way... I'm happy with quite a few of my shots (considering they were taken from a moving car)

    Mt. Shasta

not taken from a moving car...

Downtown Portland, from in front of OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science and Industry - aka The COOLEST Museum EVER!)

back in the moving car (on the way home)
