"Sinead darling, all religion is lies and bullshit meant to control the masses of dumb dumbs. In your search for inner peace, it's time to let go of Santa Claus, love."

And we can already be certain that in 6 months she will say that islam is bullshit and that she wants to be called Sinéad O'Connor again...
Anyway, if she is happy, it is all that matters.

I have never even tried to understand her stance on religion and politics, she has always seemed strident and disorganized. It's the nature of her disorder, and it's especially common for people who are bipolar to become very religious.

Honestly, all Irish people are fucked up by religion.

People who had to experience life in an institution like a Magdalene Laundry / "Mother & Baby Home" even more so.

But I'd say the current generation finishing schools and hitting university life are the first to really come out of their youth without some damage in that regard.

I can't even imagine how that impacts on people who have any mental health issues on top of all that.

I almost forgot about that. Thanks, now my blood is boiling again.

And just minutes ago I finished a quick documentary on Borley Rectory where a nun was *walled in alive* with bricks because she tried to elope a Benedictine monk (who was hanged for the "crime").... I guess things like this should make us more grateful for our imperfect society of today, but it mostly just makes me hateful and afraid of all humans.

Same here. I have problems with exactly one living thing: human beings.

This, and personally I'd add those giant terrifying spiders that live in Australia.

But seriously, I think Sinéad (this is going to be her, what, fourth name?) is desperately looking for solace and sanity on religion because she has just given up on science. She doesn't have the will, the patience and the strength that it's necessary to go through therapy and all the shit that is needed to find the right psychiatric medication. It seems she is tired, and religion gives her some comfort. Unfortunately, we know that that comfort lasts for a short period of time and then one day, without warning, bipolar disorder appears again to fuck with your mind. It's sad, really sad.

Quite sad that she thinks becoming Muslim gets her off the hook of being white.

Not one to complain about red dots but the comment left with it compels me to. "It's ok to be white."
Yes it is, wasn't saying it wasn't. She obviously doesn't think it is, and now that she is Muslim, she seems to think she has pulled herself a Rachel Dolezal. She is still white.

I'm sure the person that gave me the dot also leaves comments that say "All Lives Matter."
