Weird, that Scarlet image above isn't showing up on my Spotify top 10. It's just the usual Heels on a Gravel Road.

I wish we knew what the No. 11 song was, so we could all overplay the hell out of it and kick that Fat Slut back to the streets.

*Oh, looks like Bloody Grace is in Italy, so maybe that's why the Scarlet image is different...

According to simple Google search, these are the top Tori songs (under "songs", no explanation how they are chosen)

    Cornflake Girl
    Silent All These Years
    Crucify
    A Sorta Fairytale
    Winter
    Caught a Lite Sneeze
    Precious Things
    Professional Widow
    Pretty Good Year
    God
    Talula
    Me and a Gun
    Raspberry Swirl
    Jackie's Strength
    1000 Oceans
    Past The Mission
    China
    Welcome To England
    Bouncing Off Clouds
    Tear In Your Hand
    Spark
    Blood Roses
    Maybe California
    Sleeps With Butterflies
    Trouble's Lament
    Bliss
    Taxi Ride
    Big Wheel
    Smells Like Teen Spirit
    Father Lucifer
    Yes Anastasia
    Glory of the 80s

No surprises tbh. Except the lack of Hey Jupiter?! (Maybe the remix messes up its ranking) Also disappointed that Native Invader is not well known yet apparently.

Concertina, Springtime of his Voodoo, Strange Little Girl, '97 Bonnie & Clyde, Cruel, Playboy Mommy, Carry and Sweet the Sting were all singles or at least promoted soft singles - but I would not include them on the list. Maybe Cruel...

I would argue that Selkie and Oysters are like 2nd and 3rd singles for UG (at least to Tori fans) and are "most known" from that album along with Trouble's Lament. Well I guess Selkie kind of was a single (grat track) before release.

    Never forget:

I actually love Glory of the 80s - I just don’t think it’s a top song, or well known unless you’re a Toriphile, or single material...

Glory of the 80s is not only one of her most accessible singles, it's also a quality track. Lyrics, singing, music and production are all on point. If I had to compile a best-of list, I would include Glory and Concertina before 1000 Oceans, tbh. Oceans was a nice ballad that had some commercial success at the time, but I doubt anyone is seeking out Tori's music right now because of it, AND it's not a good representation of her for new listeners... unless the only other songs you're probably gonna like are China and Fairytale and SWB.

I can't believe I'm posting this, but my opinion on Maybe California has taken a 360 since hearing the Gold Dust bonus track (again? I've had it for years but don't think I ever listened to it.) It's actually gorgeous, and her singing is heartfelt and unaffected (no baby voice!!) -- I thought the original was patronizing in an insencere "there there" kind of way, but this version is KILLING me, and I imagine she is singing about herself. No question AATS was a dark time for Tori (and possibly Mark too) and this song feels like Tori imagining a worst-case-scenario where she wants to die because she can't provide for her family. This is highly triggering but highly relatable!! why did I never notice this version.

oh yeah, the Gold Dust version of Maybe California is so much better than the AATS version. It's also a step lower so it sits a little better in her voice.
