I kinda want her to do something extra campy again, like the Bootylicious video cameo.

that's perfectly lovely. although what is it about naomi watts that makes tv/movie folk go "lets get stevie nicks to do a song for us?"

Almost went to this show last night, but decided to hold out for the 2018 tour they've been mentioning.

I saw Stevie live at BST festival in Hyde Park a few weeks back! She did a great set, about 80 mins, and then came back out for Tom Petty's set (who was headlining) and did "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around".

It was fantastic to see, even if Stevie did totally screw up the words to the first chorus lol

Not the line-up I would have chosen, but this still looks to be an interesting event:

So, uhhh... Fleetwood Mac fired Lindsey Buckingham.

    https://www.rollingstone.com/music/n...ingham-w518925

Fleetwood Mac has fired Lindsey Buckingham after a disagreement over the band's upcoming tour, Rolling Stone has confirmed. The band announced Monday that Mike Campbell of Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers and Neil Finn of Crowded House will replace him.

News of Buckingham's departure initially broke when former Fleetwood Mac guitarist Billy Burnette shared an April 4th tweet that has since been deleted, saying: "Breaking news: Lindsey Buckingham is out but I'm not in." Rolling Stone has confirmed Buckingham's departure, though no specific tour dates have been announced.

Fleetwood Mac issued a collective statement about the news, saying: "We are thrilled to welcome the musical talents of the caliber of Mike Campbell and Neil Finn into the Mac family. With Mike and Neil, we’ll be performing all the hits that the fans love, plus we’ll be surprising our audiences with some tracks from our historic catalogue of songs. Fleetwood Mac has always been a creative evolution. We look forward to honoring that spirit on this upcoming tour."

From what I can understand that's being discussed in Fleetwood Mac world, Lindsey wouldn't tour without having new Mac material to promote. Stevie didn't want to record with them and Mick knows full well that the big money is in touring, so Lindsey is out.

As much as I'm a huge fan, I'm annoyed at Stevie. She bleated on for years about how she didn't want to do a Fleetwood Mac record without Christine. And then Christine came back and she still wouldn't do it, leaving Christine & Lindsey to do an album of new material together with the songs they had written. Part of me thinks it's just that Stevie can't write songs like she used to anymore.

I'm not convinced that it's about new material...they could have played Buckingham McVie songs if they wanted to mix in something more recent. My personal guess is that the only thing that stops one last greatest hits tour with the Rumours line-up is a reduction in Lindsey and Stevie's willingness to be around each other.
