Noel Hogan claims it's like the first two albums but with some subtle additions. I think they said similar things about WUaStC, but that album was just kind of disappointing and boring. Would love if we could relive some No Need To Argue though!
I know it's a b-side, but So Cold In Ireland came on my iPod today on shuffle. So good.
I've been playing the shit out of No Need to Argue recently. I'm all for them going for that sound again!
I actually liked To The Faithful Departed more than the average critic; it wasn't as good as No Need To Argue, but at least they still sounded like something nobody else was doing. The lyrics started going downhill, but the songs themselves were strong as hell. After that it was straight to blandsville. And a few songs aside, Dolores' solo stuff is painful. I PRAY the rest of the band had more of a say in the overall sound of Roses. It worries me a little that none of Noel Hogan's pics on Twitter have had Dolores in them. I'm hoping it's not just a money-grab and that they really collaborated more fully than they probably did toward the end of their first run. If this was just a thrown together project with Dolores' vocals and lyrics pasted on in the studio, I'm not as optimistic. No real reason to believe that's the case, though.
I thought they were over and done. Cool news.
I got so much flavor put me on the buffet.

First full song was released on Youtube and can be downloaded on the Cranberries site; none of the teasers have been amazing so far, and this one barely even has lyrics, but it's still better than a lot of the Dolores solo stuff
I'm sorry.... I think "Show Me The Way" is so derivative, bland, trite and annoying. I just cannot for the life of me get into it, and I don't understand why they feel THIS is the song that announces their importance in rock history and warrants their return.
Nothing too amazing. Did Madonna write the lyrics?
Yeah it just seemed more of the same for me. Nothing new.
It's just frustrating really; where did that talent go?!?! I mean, No Need To Argue is just SO GOOD. How does that just go away?
This is so disappointing!! I adored the first two albums and even almost loved the third. Then it was just shit from there on out! Ugh.
Oh god, they made Wake Up And Smell The Coffee Part 2!?
