I am watching Quantico season 2 - enjoyed the first one quite a bit and I have to admit, I like some of the female characters a lot (Alex, Shelby, the twins). I also like the style of "narration": current events are slowly progressing and the year leading up to them is told up to the end of the season with some nice twists.
People who enjoyed Alias, Dollhouse and 24 might like this show too, I guess.

I don't know why I never watched True Blood but I'm catching up now. I don't LOVE it, but I do really like it. I think what's keeping me from loving it is that some of the writing and acting is... it's not top notch. Fun, but not excellent.

I do spend a lot of time wondering what the cock sock budget must have been like because there is a lot of nudity, but very little sausage.

It also gets extra points for having a great theme song. The music itself is good and it fits the show very well.

Season 4 of Bojack Horseman. No surprises, it's brilliant. I know everyone raves about how it depicts depression (and rightly so, it is amazing in this respect) but for me, Princess Carolyn and being an older, independent, career-driven woman trying to balance all the things the world expects of you ... I have never seen that explored so beautifully and honestly as they do in this show.

As soon as this asshole hurricane leaves and I get power back, that's the first thing on my list. I wasn't sure about the show until over halfway through the first season but by the end of the third season it had wrecked me.

Hope everything's okay Ryan. My partner's family lives in Williston and it sounds like there is a big mess but no material damage. Thank god.

I was pretty well won-over by the end of S1 and I think it's only gone from strength to strength. I don't think they did anything as innovative and imaginative as the underwater episode from S3 (my favourite BH episode ever), but it's still brilliant.

What is about the show that won you over? I watch my first episode, S1 E1, last night. I was kind of meh about it.

The first episode didn't do much for me but I'd encourage you to stick with it. There are so many things I love about the show -- the way it handles depression, cynicism, pop culture and Hollywood, family dysfunctions... there's a lot going on. It gets pretty heavy, but there's also a lot of dark humor that makes me laugh. The underwater episode is brilliant, and in season 4 there's a pretty brutal Princess Carolyn episode. I love Amy Sedaris.

Yeah it's great. And characters are allowed to be flawed too, which is amazing. (I've shouted BOJACK YOU DICK many an episode! Even Todd, idiot that he is, can be selfish.)

I'm watching People of Earth. It's about a support group for alien abductees. Wyatt Cenac starrs as a journalist who comes to interview the people in the group and Ana Gasteyer as the group therapist. It's quirky and funny, I highly recommend it.

We'll see! My husband and I watch about an hour of TV together a night. He was meh about it as well!

For us, we really enjoyed Atypical because it was relevant to our lives. That show has ruined us! We want more shows like it!

Is anyone else watching The Deuce? Saw the pilot episode last week and it was better than I expected. It isn't just the rise of the porn system, but also the cultural and political implication of it. It has the same showrunners as the Wire and is very well done. Having lived through the seventies, it does a great job of catching that era. Also Franco, Gyllenhaal and the rest of the cast are excellent.

I have. I kind of rolled my eyes at the previews, but heard a good review of it on NPR. I was pleasantly surprised. I'm really interested in where it is going to go. Definitely agree with you about the cast- great performances so far!

I just started watching Trapped. Not the others, This One.

So far (2 episodes) so good. Also, I'm learning Icelandic. Ha. Some of the subtitles, like names, are written in Icelandic, which is pretty cool right there.

Edited to add: Seyðisfjörður <--Look! Unf speaks Icelandic already!
