"btw Hack n Slash is a golf tournament in Wisconsin, not our new album, which isn’t done yet. We’re still working on it!"

Having Shirley be so confident in the new material has me excited. From her Facebook:

    Darklings

I swear I'm not trying to be arrogant or cocky or anything.......
I promise I am trying to be realistic and keep things in perspective and all......
But when I say that I think we are making the best collection of songs of our career....
I think I am being honest.
They may not be the most cutting edge or the hippest thing or the sound of a decade or any of that shit
but I think it is an honest collection of ideas coming from a bunch of freaks and geeks.....laying down where we are at and who we are and everything we have been through and.....welll .....the authenticity of that cant be debated.
We are who we are. This is what we are. Collectively.
And we are proud of it.
And we hope you can relate.
And if you can't....well I guess that's for us to think about and reflect upon and grow from.
And if you can.....well that's great. We will have done our job.
Which is to try to communicate an idea, a feeling, a thought, an echo.....
    ECHO ECHO ECHO
    Can you hear us.
    Hello?
    ANyone!??!?!?!?!?!?!??!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was meant to see them in 2006 I think it was, then they cancelled the tour. Was so, so gutted. Really can't wait for new material.

They seemed to be quite a tumultous band behind the scenes.

I have seen Garbage three times live. I was amazed at how excellent and fun the shows were. The vibe was good, people were dancing like mad. I have seen them in Milwaukee each time, so its a sorta a homecoming for band members.
A lot has changed since I saw them in last in 2005, but I will do everything in my power to see them live if/when they tour!

Did anyone see the video of the band doing a small part of Choose Your Weapon? It was just noise, but I wonder if it's an indication of the direction the album as a whole has taken.

I'm glad that Shirley is pleased with their progress, but I've learned that an artist's perception of their own work often differs greatly from mine...so we shall see!

It's not much, but I'll take anything right now. They've posted a 13 second teaser video on Facebook.

It sounds like one of their b-sides. Can't remember what. Nothing original and new, though
