How did I miss this thread?

Not a fan of the new album title, but I didn't and don't like "Unrepentant Geraldines" either. It's still a great album.

Managed to catch Shirley and the boys on 20YQ tour and they were in fine form and having a blast, so hopefully this energy is captured in the new album.

Top 10 Garbage tracks? Oh hell. Ok, in no particular order:

    Supervixen
    Stroke of Luck
    Sleep Together
    Cherry Lips
    Automatic Systematic Habbit
    Bad Boyfriend
    Trip My Wire
    Push It
    You Look So Fine
    Why Do You Love Me

    I could've honestly chosen anything from V2.0

I agree with Shirley, I remember hearing that for the first time on TOTP or CD:UK, one of the 2, and thinking "God, WTF is that!?"

Not a fan of the title either. And I didn't like at all their last album.

But I like Androgyny. I think it sound so plastic and superficial and mechanical and that creates an interesting juxtaposition with the message of the song: the humanity of the sexuality. (I don't know if I'm making myself clear; somehow this always makes a lot of sense in my mind).

I'm happy that they are keeping the G cover. At first, it looks a bit weird and kind of childish and not dark/goth/pop at all, so I don't know what to expect
    I'll wait until I hear the first single ( and I really hope it's soon ! )

To me, this record, funnily enough, has the most to do with the first record than any of the previous records.
I feel like they say that with every post BG release

Without much to go on I prefer more polished mixing, but can't wait to hear where this goes.

That is a pretty weird album cover. And I kind of like it! Well, at least considering their album cover standards. That green looks like a toxic fart. Murky, yucky, stinky, swampy, toxic waste dump site... that sort of stuff. If I were to associate some songs to this album's cover, I'd definitely pick Afterglow, Deadwood, Butterfly Collector, #1 Crush, Sleep, Alien Sex Fiend, Nobody Loves You, Sugar, On Fire and maybe Thirteen as well. I hope the look reflects the sounds on the album, but that has never been much of an indicator in the past (imo).

I really hated that cover earlier today. Now I realized it's awful in the same way the debut cover is -- so offensively ugly to the eye but so simple that I can't not appreciate it. The "G" doesn't look like part of an animal, it looks like animal skin was fitted to it. And for some reason it's floating in a radioactive swamp fart.

I also really like that second clip, sounds like a more industrial Brody Dalle.

"Empty" is above, and you can pre-order the album here. Shirley's voice has so much character and I love how she sings the chorus. Musically, it's quintessential Garbage in the best way. Bravo!

It actually reminds me a bit of "Control" from NYKOP but it has some loops and guitars that make me think of Version 2.0.

That gives me a lot more hope than what I read on a youtube comment: "It's as if Felt and Battle In Me had a baby!"
I just can't stand Battle In Me, Man On a Wire and other Garbage songs like them. For me, this band works best when they're not trying to "rock out" or "go hard". I'd love it if this album's sound leaned more towards the debut or Version 2.0 than to Bleed Like Me.

Can't wait for the new album!
Wasn't a fan of their latest album, but they have such a strong catalog.
