Yesterday I was so lucky to attend a Loreena McKennitt concert in Florence It was simply amazing. It's the second time I see her and this time it was maybe even more amazing, mostly because I was more relaxed and I can understand english waaay better than I did the first time, so I was able to understand even her mimicking the accent of an irish bus driver :P She told us a couple of funny anecdotes, she's really sweet.

She said the next album is coming out this time next year, and she played a new song called (I think) Infance, very light and cute.
The musicianship onstage was amazing as always. I had a pillar of the venue hiding Brian Hughes from my sight, but I could see Loreena and Caroline very well. Wow,They're just so beautiful and amazing. Loreena's voice is still unbelievable, even if I've come to know she had a bit of a sore throat (I'm doing a journalism project in a local school and one of my students knows Loreena personally, so he was in the backstage after the show and told me that she couldn't meet fans yesterday because she had talked too much in Rome :P)

After missing out on LP tour tickets, I was able to see her at an industry showcase tonight for the first time. Her voice is INSANE.

It was super annoying waiting in line for 90 minutes and not knowing for sure if they'd let me in, but totally worth it in the end.

That Fallon performance was crazy; I don't know how she hits those high notes!

^ Yay Paula! Just saw she added a NYC show of just John Lennon and Joni Mitchell covers? I'd totally go if I wasn't on vacation.
