    ^ Agreed. The thing about Madonna in the 80's, is that she was primarily a singles artist. She really made the most of the album format from the 90's onward, but the reason why The Immaculate Collection flows together so perfectly is that the songs were never intended to be heard within a larger context.

    I'd say this is mostly true, aside from Like a Prayer, which I think was the first time she truly attempted to make an album in the front-to-back sense.
