New video out today. The song doesn't wow me like some of the first album tracks, but it will probably grow on me.
The album's leaked, if anyone cares. And it's good.

Love the new album, love the video for Hood, love everything. So much, that I just ordered tickets for his concert in Berlin.
I am really digging this new album; especially feeling love for Floating Spit. I was just reading a track by track explanation of the songs and it was pretty interesting stuff. He mentioned that Floating Spit was about overdosing and that really comes across in the feeling of the song for me; it has this sad resignation but also a beauty in the acceptance of letting go.
Great interview/performance clips from pitchfork.tv
The new album also got a Best New Music review from Pitchfork yesterday, so that should help the album get more attention. It's a really wonderful piece of work, especially with how the beauty of his piano playing underscores the darkness of the lyrics. Dark Parts is especially moving for me.
Been listening to this all day! AWOL Marine, Dark Parts, and Take Me Home are the big standouts for me right now, but I'm still getting to know the album. Oddly enough, I hear some of Joanna Newsom's last album here--more in the vein of tracks like Occident, Soft as Chalk, and Does Not Suffice, though. I don't often listen to male solo vocalists, so it's always exciting to find a new one to adore.
^He said before that he was listening to HOOM for the first time whilst beginning to write the record, and everything that came out was embarrassingly derivative, from which he learnt not to listen to music while writing.
(also, maybe I'm just an obsessive, but I genuinely see a lot of Newsom in his mannerisms/facial features)
This album seems to be the one to beat for AOTY so far for me. "17" and "Hood" are my favorites. I had trouble getting into Learning, but this one hooked me right off the bat.
dust my feathers with his ashes
I love the video. This song is amazing and cry and smile whenever I hear it.
This has been AOTY for me thus far. Fiona is the only one who may knock it outta the spot.
That video is absolutely beautiful. And chilling. I feel like it'd be the video I'd make if I were a filmmaker instead of a photographer. I've always got faceless creeps in windows and around corners. I was moved by the creep.
When they're callingFrom the edge
I am obsessed with this record this week!particularly Take Me Home and Floating Spit
lovely video. And I too am really enjoying the new album!
