    Laura Veirs

    For all things Veirs.

Here's a session for Daytrotter, recorded in March 2010

Oh, good call. I love Laura.

Here's a video I made at her gig in Oxford in January this year.

Not stunning quality as it was recorded on a little compact camera.

Laura is one of my favorites.

I've been searching the internet, but unable to find anything... does any one know if she had a boy or a girl?

    A boy, Tennessee Veirs Martine

Arrived on April 22. And she's going back out on the road this summer!

    Laura Veirs UK Dates

The Jazz Cafe is a great venue so I hope to get to one of those dates.
Maybe for once, someone will call me "Sir" without adding, "You're making a scene."

    She was AMAZING!

I couldn't get any particularly great photos as it was bad light and I only had my compact (wish I had my DLSR!).

but I did bag me a set list.

and one of her guitar picks. I've never seen anyone get through so many! She started out with dozens stuck to the microphone and then chucked them on the floor after playing a song. They were pretty much all grabbed by fans after the encore.

Nice set! I don't recognise some of them but that's a nice long set.

I saw her in January and she was great, and signed my July Flame LP. I also picked up the last Saltbreakers LP they had on the tour, and I've seen it at ridiculous prices on Amazon marketplace.

Here's a video of the July Flame making I saw the other day. Also the LP unboxing, which I always like

There were some I didn't recognise when she was playing.

I didn't buy the vinyl but did get my CD signed. She was so sweet and lovely.

^Aww, menju that is my favourite post of the month! Loved the videos -just a delight to watch. Ha, and I'm not really a cat person (shocking allergies, blah blah) but that cat won me ;-)

It was nice to hear Laura singing live, too. Sometimes that 'double voice' sound on the record gets too much for me. What do you guys think?
