Of course, the comment thread about this at Mediaite is a shitshow.

He was a good guy. RIP, Mr. Colmes.

And if you're a Game of Thrones fan...

Game of Thrones star Neil Fingleton has died at the age of 36, it has been reported.

Once named as Britain’s tallest man, the 7ft 7in star played Mag the Mighty in the fantasy series and also took on roles in X-Men: First Class and Jupiter Ascending.

According to reports, he passed away following heart failure on Saturday.

    36 is so so young. And 7'7"....jesus, I'm 5'2".

Had to google him and he played the giant who was killed in the tunnel when the wildlings attack the Wall in season 4.

Gutted about Bill Paxton. Here's a retrospective I drew a while ago. Guy was in all the best films!

I hadn't realized this, but it's kind of cool

Bill and Lance Henriksen are also the only two actors who hold the high honor of being killed by a Terminator, an Alien and a Predator in a movie.

Bill Paxton dying at 61 is entirely fucked up. He had a lot more good work in him.

If you ever want to see a great little (and little-known) movie that he's in, look for Pass the Ammo (1988). He plays a guy whose girlfriend's family is ripped off by a couple of televangelists (Tim Curry and Annie Potts, so good). They go in and try to get the money back.

Rest in peace, Bill, and thanks for all the great work you left behind. You will not be soon forgotten.

    Tommy Page. Suicide.
Along with George Michael, one of the first celebs who I recognized as being like me. Not out then, but 12 year old me knew when I listened to his first two albums.
Been having a bunch of conversations with friends about that Huffpo article about gay loneliness that has been making the rounds this week. When I heard this, first thing that came to my mind was that article.

TCM host Robert Osborne. It's kind of a big deal to me.

Oh no I love TCM and I love listening to Robert Osborne talk about movies.
