Very good comedic actor. Rest in peace, sir.
At my core, I think we're gonna be OK.

He'll always be "Hollywood" to me. He will be missed.

    How utterly, utterly awful.

If any of you have never seen this, even if you are completely unfamiliar with Elaine's career, watch. I've rarely seen anything more life-affirming. I feel honored to have gotten to see her work her magic on stage.

"Had a good innings" is a cliché but it truly does apply.

I could watch this til the cows come home...

The first thing I did when I heard the news today, was to put on her version of "Something Good" from that show.

I didn't think I'd be so affected by this, but I might cry at my desk

I got a text at work at about 6pm tonight from a friend I haven't seen in ages saying, 'I'm being quite genuine here. I've just heard the news about Elaine. I hope you're alright poppet'. That's how I found out about it. I was like FUUUUUUUUCCCKKKK NOOOOOOOO. Saying that, she left behind a fantastic legacy. My favourite YouTube video of her is actually a very exposing one from the recording sessions of Company. It shows her very vulnerable side as well as her resilience and detemination.

    Someone posted this today:

which really got me. I've heard her do the song so many different times, but there's something about the unbridled admiration of the fellow singers on stage watching her still giving it her all.
