    John Noakes.

I don't know if he's known in the US but he was a pretty big part of a lot of peoples' childhoods here.
Maybe for once, someone will call me "Sir" without adding, "You're making a scene."

Cary Churchill Cloud Nine? They mean Cloud 9 by Caryl Churchill. Marvelous play from the 80s. I remember it being all the rage when I was getting my theater degree. But anyway, I thought Lisa Kudrow's remembrance was quite lovely.

    Glenne Headly

Versatile film, TV, and stage actress. You could always count on her for a good performance. She was only 63 and there's no cause of death listed yet. She was working on something, so apparently her death was a surprise.

Nelsen Ellis who played Lafayette on True Blood- he was only 39. Apparently it was heart failure. Way too young!! 😥

Oh no! Such a great actor. i loved seeing him pop up in things unexpectedly. If they ever made a movie of Anansi Boys I always saw him as Spider.

^ Yes he was wonderful! I'm surprised no one else has been in here to comment (guess everyone is distracted by new Tori album time ). Apparently the heart failure was due to him detoxing from alcohol- his family said he hid an alcohol and drug problem for years). I've heard that alcohol withdrawal is the only drug withdrawal you can actually die from! So sad, I still can't believe it!
    Suck it, Shawn.

That's actually quite true. And when you take into account that he also was suffering from major organ failure....he should have been in the hospital from about an hour after he took his last drink. And almost certainly, based on what people were saying, the reason he didn't was because he was ashamed. And every time I go into mental wards, I try to get pound that message home; that shame will not help you recover. What it will do is KILL YOU FUCKING DEAD. I know this from experience.

Poor guy. I never watched True Blood, so I didn't know of him, but you can tell by the heartbreak caused by his death that he was a great guy. And, by all accounts, a great actor. Fucking alcoholism.
