Still in progress, but I have a solid playlist going. I haven't had a "Running Playlist" since I had to run with a disk-man back in 2004. Normally, I would just take my iPod and hit shuffle. However, I got tired of skipping songs that weren't running worthy. Since I am basically starting running over from the beginning, its the perfect time to start new habits. I am pretending to be a total newbie, so I don't go out too fast or build up mileage too fast. Four months after fracturing/spraining my ankle and sustaining boney contusions on the entire outside half of my foot, I was running four miles. Ridiculous!!! I was just soo pissed because I was on pace for a 1:55 half marathon when I ate it!!!!

I'm terrible at keeping up with popular music. I never have the radio on and now that I'm in my 30s, I'm just not as cool.

Anyway, when it comes to a workout, I need some radio friendly pop (with a few classic gems thrown in for good measure). Here's the list I made for this morning's run after perusing through the iTunes store.

    Home - Phillip Phillips
    Pontoon - Little Big Town
Locked Out of Heaven - Bruno Mars
Suit and Tie - Justin Timberlake
Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You) - Kelly Clarkson
    Try - P!nk
    A Little Respect - Erasure
    Heroes - David Bowie
Only the Horses - Scissor Sisters
Won't Go Home Without You - Maroon 5
    Thank You - Alanis Morissette

Little Talks - Of Monsters and men
    Hey Ho - Lumineers
Blow me one last kiss - p!nk
    it's time - imagine dragons
    everybody talks - neon trees

they've made their way onto my list recently.

wasted a bunch of time this morning skipping through mostly noisy, soulless, electro bullshit.. trying to find something to work out to... and I got nothin’! so i’m back to familiar territory w/ this super8 & tab album, which will glady do.

key track: black is the new yellow (but i pretty much love the whole thing)
