I organized every 2005 bootleg and in turn, had to listen to every Beekeeper from that tour. I don’t remember the LONGEST but Boston Sunmer of Sin (which got officially released) comes to mind as particularly long. Fun fact: the song does not get better at any point throughout the tour. Very little variance. She really needed to get through some shit that year.
'Tis better to bend with the wind than stand tall and be broken. Therein lies hope; therein lies freedom.

I don't think those backup singers were part of the rehearsal

RE: Scarlet's Nasal Walk -- her voice was terrible on WTSF, but earlier in the tour she was knocking Pancake and Talula and TTTS and Sweet Dreams out of the park. The PBS Soundstage show was so much better than WTSF.

I accidentally found this clip. I have not seen her perform with backup singers before that I can remember. It may have been a one-off thing.

It's so awkward when one of the backup singers starts singing too early at the beginning. So cringe. I love China though (I know, gasp!) so I love this performance too.

This makes me wish Tori had whipped out a solo version this past tour.

Can we just talk about what a genius Steve Caton was without any negative stuff that goes along with it for a second? The guitar on this version is amazing. He really knew how to compliment her style -- it sounds like... a chorus of ethereal sighs descending from the mountains.

    He accompanied her perfectly, honestly.

He did. His work on the album version of Doughnut Song is gorgeous - I have written about it in the SOTW thread. FWIW - I think he was doing "negative stuff" for a while and Tori tolerated it until she got pregnant with Tash.

I mean. 13 years ago, she did a webcast. 4 years before youtube.
And totally killed it. SL Webcast ranks among one of her premier pre recorded/filmed performances, in my opinion. The irony is she's spoken so often about how computers/internet really aren't her thing

Her forgetting Jupiter is one of my favourite moments. She's like "this is a 'webcast' so I don;t even care that I have to totally stop the whole thing."

I don't think I've ever heard about that! Do you have a link?

I remember when YT came out - all I did was look for videos. Back in the day I'd spend $40 for a formal bootlegged CD.
