    Heather's latest newsletter:

All excitement and chaos getting ready to leave for a lonnng tour next
week! (Won't be home til April) I am so looking forward to playing live
again and visiting those beautiful European cities. This is a stripped
down show, but although it's billed as "acoustic" it isn't just me and
a guitar. We are playing with some cool electronic elements and mixing
it up with different instruments. I will be playing your favourite
songs (hopefully!) and also slipping a few new unreleased ones in there
    now and then.

The part I am really excited about is that I am bringing a whole visual
element to the show which will involve moving projections of the
stunning paintings of Alberto Di Fabio. [5]www.albertodifabio.com . I
have always felt an affinity to his work and the way it reflects his
respect for nature; his paintings are directly inspired by our cells
and DNA and he executes this with such a beautiful richness of colour
and light. I think the combination of music and art will make for a
sensual experience in which you can forget everything for an hour and a
half and lose yourself in sound, light and art!

An extra treat (for me and for you) is that my brother, Mishka,
([6]www.mishka.com) will be opening for me on several dates - 3rd
through the 19th February, inclusive. He has been touring exclusively
in North America and Japan for the past 10 years but wants to bring his
music back to Europe this year. His songs are beautiful and his voice
is incredible (ok, it's the older sister talking, but it is a seriously
    powerful and emotive voice)

I hope you can make it to one of the shows. I promise I will do my best
to make it a night to remember :-)

    Much love

    Heather

A beautiful acoustic show in London's magificent Union Chapel last night. Heather was acommpanied by Arnulf Lindner who played cello, guitar and piano at various times. Heather played the piano for some songs too.

    setlist

I got to meet her for the first time in 8 gigs and 20 years of fandom! I got my 300 Days At Sea CD signed. As usual all plans to say something intelligent were put aside when I got to the front of the queue so I just babbled something about listening to her for half of my life.

Heather Nova - Like Lovers Do (Union Chapel, London, 17/03/2014)

Heather Nova - Heart and Shoulder (Union Chapel, London, 17/03/2014)

Heather Nova - London Rain (Union Chapel, London, 17/03/2014)

    Her voice is just incredible!

^So glad you got to meet her! I know she's not a keen meet and greeter and doesn't do them often, so that's incredible. Lovely setlist as well! What did you think of the new song?

The new song was great! Another quiet and gentle one. Hope we get some new recorded material soon! I forgot to ask her about a new album at the M&G as I was too busy eing overwhelmed. She seemed sweet and quite shy.

Pledge project up for new album!

    New Album 2015
    Hi there,

Last month I started putting down some tracks for a new album. I’m really excited to be recording my new songs, and am loving working with Jay Clifford and Josh Kaler – two very creative musician/producers. It’s sounding great so far. I’d love for you to be a part of this project, and by pre-ordering your copy of the album here or pledging on these exclusive items you will be helping to fund my new album. As I am now an independent artist, I find this a wonderful way to make a record – directly involving the people who want the music, cutting out the middle man (record label) and thereby maintaining creative control. It’s so direct and I love having that relationship with you. :-)

I am not going to say too much about the album at this point, as it is simply a collection of songs I’ve written over the last year or so, that I just want to bring to life in the most raw and beautiful way I can. No big concepts, just music from the heart that will hopefully speak for itself…..

I have put together a selection of items, many of which were suggested to me by you (on Facebook) so thanks for the ideas! I hope you will find something that is of personal value to you, something that feels special and exclusive and that will make pledging that much more meaningful to you.
    I AM EXCITE.

New album out today, but not in North America.

I really want to hear this album. Heather always delivers. Her music has stuck with me for many, many years.
I don't understand the question, and I won't respond to it.

^I've never really been able to get into her. Something about her music just doesn't do anything for me.

I've just got my download link for the new album from PledgeMusic. So exciting! Wont get chance to listen today though as at work and have a gig this evening. Hopefully there will be a CD waiting for me when I get home too!

Spotify have emailed me to say the new album is available. They know my listening habits!

I'm going to see her live this week, and I don't really know her music (don't ask).

can someone please tell me which songs she usually sings live?

You're in for a treat! Heather is wonderful live! I imagine she'll play quite a few from the new album on this tour but she normally plays a good selection of fan favourites from previous albums such as Island, I Miss My Sky, Avalanch and London Rain (she always plays this in London anyway! ).

American friends, you're getting shows next year! Dates are on Heather's instagram but I can't see them on her website yet. I hope some of you get to see her!

I'm seeing her in London on Monday. It will be my 9th Heather show!
