    Chvrches

Just discovered Chvrches, an electropop outfit from Scotland, whose debut LP is due later this year. Really liking them. I hear bits of Robyn, M83 and The Knife in there....

Just bought tickets on Friday to see them in June! Love everything they've put out so far, especially The Mother We Share and Recover.

Fans of CHVRCHES: the Cid Rim remix of Recover blows the original out of the water and is perfection.

New single "Gun" premiered today. The poppiest thing they've done but I love it.

They played today at Sasquatch festival, and even though it was dreary and raining, they KILLED it. Love this band!

Yesss.. this band is definitely my must-see at the Laneway festival in September. That and Sigur Ros, finally.

Saw their debut Chicago show tonight - absolutely phenomenal! Even if a couple tracks sounded more like b-sides, the majority will surely make for a brilliant debut from them.

^^That's good to hear! I'm going as a tag-along on Sunday. They're of those bands that has peaked my interests when they came on in the background, though never took the time to investigate. Guess it's time for a crash course.

An update! Chvrches was absolutely wonderful. I was thoroughly impressed. Still Corners was the opener, and they were very good too. Tessa was incredibly sweet. She thanked us for coming out early to see them open, and I just wanted to give her a big hug because she was so incredibly adorable. As for Chvrches, Lauren has a beautiful voice, and she was absolutely adorable, too. She talked with the crowd after nearly every song. She also mentioned that they would be touring in the states again after the drop of their new album. They covered Prince's "I Would Die 4 U" as the encore.

I don't know how much of this is new information, but she said their album would be released on September 24th in the United States and would be called The Bones of What You Believe. I'm extremely excited!
