I am SO looking forward to it. I didn't like TS2 when it came out, although it's grown on me. From what I've seen of TS3, I think I'll like it. I'm assuming they're going to show it regular, as in not just 3-d or IMAX. I'm taking my kid to the movies for the first time and I don't know if an extra visual experience would just be overwhelming. I suppose too I wouldn't be the first parent to take a screaming kid out of the theater if it is only 3D.

So it's not just the movie itself, but the whole "my child's first movie" thing.

The Queen. It was good. I miss watching more movies, but I just don't know what to watch. :/

Yes, I've seen it three times. Couldn't get over it for ages.

Watched 'Happy Go-Lucky' for the second time. Anything Mike Leigh is worth watching (British director).

    Shutter Island

Without reading any spoilers I had the ending figured out before it even started. That being said, I thought it was decent. A little draggy at times but beautiful imagery and a great score (even if it was downright oppressive at times). The cast did an exellent job and I always enjoy Max VonSydow.

Last thing I saw at the cinema was Death At A Funeral ... AWFUL MOVIE!

Honestly hated it from start to finish.

    Coco Before Chanel
I enjoyed it. I could stare at Audrey Tatou all day! Some complained that the movie didn't cover her ties to the Nazi party, but that didn't even happen until she became known for the Chanel brand...and the movie didn't cover that part of her life. I did like that the movie portrayed her as slightly histrionic, which was kind of weird, hilarious, and sad all at the same time.

    LOVE that movie!

I just watched The Long Hot Summer. I love me some Paul Newman. Excellent cast.

The original is awesome! I don't know if I'm horrified it or not that Peter Dinklage is in the American version (which I have no intention of watching).

I don't know why I don't own this movie. I record it every time I see that it's going to be on IFC. The end does drag a bit but the rest is made of awesome.

Since all the summer Hollywood movies blow donkeys, I did an arthouse tripleheader today.

Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work
    Cyrus
    Winter's Bone

    All were extraordinary. More later.
At my core, I think we're gonna be OK.

The Talented Mr Ripley I saw it years ago and didn't like it. I heard the book was better and I finished it last week, not liking that very much. Coincidentally the movie was on tonight. I didn't like very much again. I don't know why. It has lots of stuff I like in it, but it just doesn't do it for me.
