Thread: Let's spy on each other on GoodReads.

Let's spy on each other on GoodReads.

People have mentioned their accounts elsewhere, so why don't we have a thread in which to be book buddies? Let's bee friends. We can chivvy each other on and give recommendations! Snobs can judge! Nice people can be nice!

Here's me. Pay no attention to the fact that I have been reading the same book since the end of May. It's been a busy month okay.

    Here's me: http://www.goodreads.com/user/show/3742195

You'd think I'd be bored with the site by now, because all I do is give star ratings rather than actual reviews; but the site is addicting!

I just give star ratings too! I'm too afraid people would argue with my reviews, and also nobody really wants to hear what I have to think.

"Well, that was a load of old bollocks, wasn't it? The protagonist was a right wanker and the ending was stupid. Also the cover is rubbish. 1 out of 5."

    Here I am on Goodreads.

I've only just been getting into it a bit more this month. I like nosing around in what other people are reading, and I've just started posting a bit more reviews lately too.

My complete collection is on LibaryThing.

I mostly give starred reviews too. I try to review sometimes, but they're short and illiterate. (Too bad I can't just post gifs there. *POUT*)

Me. I'm on my 40th (of 90) Agatha Christie books.

I almost had a Christie phase a couple of summers ago but aborted it before it really began. I should get back on that!

    Here I am

I'm like most of you, just starred reviews. I always think I should write a very well-meaning, thought-out review, but my brain fizzles out when it comes down to it. I just don't want to spend the time, I guess. Maybe I should just write haikus as reviews. A haiku review. hmmm...

I'm a bit miffed that you can't set a book to 'currently rereading.' The Awakening is in my 'read' pile, but it is about to go back into my 'currently reading' pile! IT CAN BE IN BOTH, GOODREADS.

Yes! I read it at uni but it's back on my 'read again' pile. I'm reclaiming it.

exclusive, meaning a book can only be on one of them. In addition to a
book's default shelf tag, you can add custom shelves that you name
yourself. For example, a book that you are planning to read could be
shelved as both "to-read" (a default shelf) and "non-fiction" (a
custom shelf you created). Books can be on as many custom shelves as
you like. You can also make any of your custom shelves exclusive with
the 3 defaults, meaning it won't go on your read or currently-reading
or to-read shelves. This may be useful for shelves like
'started-it-but-didn't-finish-it' or 're-reading'. Click on 'edit
    shelves' from the homepage.

    cheers,

    And when I said I "review" I mean I post a summary.
