As you may know, you can follow/like authors. I liked Jose Saramago, and it turns out he's blogging like crazy. Except that he's dead and he's blogging in some gobbledy-gook language. Weird!

Is there a 22 year old Brazilian on unf? On goodreads? On unf? On goodreads?

I've been friended, and I think she's from here, but am I sure?

If I'm remembering from ye olde days at @ correctly, I thought Fernanda was older than 22.

I thought it was her, but then I thought it wasn't. I didn't recognize her, but she had so many unfer friends, and since if Mansdrew and SwirlyG, for instance, were to jump off a cliff, I would too, I added her.

I only ask because I occasinally get friend requests from strangers. (Authors or someone with 8,467 friends and 3 books.) Anyone else get those?

I positively hate those requests. Goodreads is supposed to be a faux-social network. If I'm not invested in what someone's reading, or at least their thoughts on books in general, I don't want them clogging up my GR newsfeed. Which reminds me...I have some de-friending to do on there. Sometimes I accidentally add the GR.com friend-collectors.

AHA! I suspected that none of us knew her.

Who was the weak link, huh?

Haha, I am tickled at the prospect of some random stranger randomly finding one of us then proceeding through the friend list to add more and more forumzers. We must be so cool!

Omg she's friended me as well. I was under the impression that she was from @ or here.

Notice how she's from Brazil - AND NOT SEATTLE?

I've been hearing good hings about GoodReads for a while and I finally created an account. I'm loving it, as I can keep track of what I want to read, and find new books to read (I was having a hard time lately with the latter, mostly lack of "inspiration"). I'm here, but note I haven't really writen any reviews...yet. Perhaps I'll do it, but I'm not that eloquent.
