But seriously, C'mon Billy, This Mess We're In, and A Perfect Day, Elise are some of her BEST songs!

I played the game assuming there was a gun to my head, I thought that was the point! I didn't say it was easy.

However, I think This Mess We're In is really bad, it's like being at the dentist.

    Dry: nothing.
    Rid Of Me: nothing.
To Bring You My Love: nothing.
    Is This Desire?: Electric Light
    Stories...: Horses In My Dreams.
Uh Huh Her: Cat On A Wall.
    White Chalk: nothing.
    Let England Shake: nothing.

I'm really bad at this game.

^I think Electric Light is the best cut from ITD and one of her best generally

It's kind of hilarious how drastically different all these choices are.

Dry: I wouldn't really miss most of it.
Rid Of Me: Highway 61 Revisited
To Bring You My Love: fuck off
Is This Desire?: No Girl So Sweet
Stories...: This Is Love (although I kind of think this whole album should be removed...)
Uh Huh Her: Cat On The Wall or Mr. Badmouth
    White Chalk: fuuuuuuck ooooooff
Let England Shake: Written on the Forehead or maybe The Colour of the Earth. (I don't actually like the latter half of this album much at all, in retrospect.)

    Dry: Oh my lover
    Rid of me: Hook
To bring you my love: I think I'm a mother
    Is this desire?: Electric light
Stories...: Horses in my dreams (One line is in a very close second place)
Uh huh her: You come through (The slow drug, second place)
White chalk: well, I really dislike this album, but Silence is a song I can't stand.
Let England shake: The colour of the Earth
When he woke up, the dinosaur was still there.

Eliminate A Song From Each Album

I don't know about y'all but PJ's albums are pretty solid from start to finish. So I was thinking if you were FORCED to take one song off each album and only one, which song from each album would you remove?

    Here's mine:

    DRY - Happy and Bleeding
RID OF ME - ManSize Sextet
    TBYML - Long Snake Moan
    ITD? - The River
STORIES - This Mess We're In
    UHH - The Slow Drug
WHITE CHALK - When Under Ether
LES - The Colour Of The Earth

I love all those songs too! Lol

Dry - probably "O Stella". I like it but I don't love it.
Rid of Me - "Man-Size Sextet", which I LOVE, but it's kind of a weirdo song.
To Bring You My Love - "Working for the Man" if I had to but the whole record's perfect.
Is This Desire? - "Electric Light" maybe?
Stories from the City, Stories from the Sea - I could do without "The Whores Hustle and the Hustlers Whore".
Uh Huh Her - do "Seagulls" count? Or "The End"? If not these interludes, then "Cat on the Wall".
White Chalk - well, "To Talk to You" is a wonderful and emotional song but it drags the album down. It's a bit too much.
Let England Shake - probably "Hanging in the Wire", which is LOVELY but also the least impressive from the whole album.

^ I really like it but it's a reprise of a track that's already there, and it doesn't fit with the distorted/gritty guitars aesthetic of the album. I still think it's vital and essential to the record, though, but if I had to choose one...

Gritty chugga-chugga is good, fine, and "Man-Size" is the obvious best song regardless, but it doesn't reach half its potential without them jagged modernist strings and in context "Sextet" is even more remarkable for providing respite.
