My initial reaction is that it's very "cutesy." It almost reminds me more of her earlier albums in that sense. Sweet, child-like songs with lots of imagery. I have yet to decide if that's a good thing or not.

    Amazing!

I like the album on first listen.
Maybe for once, someone will call me "Sir" without adding, "You're making a scene."

Interesting, I just noticed St. Vincent co-wrote and played on Cruel Summer...

Yes, they both work with and are friends with Jack Antonoff (and he produced the song). St Vincent actually performed with her a couple years ago too (along with Beck)

afterglow, false god, cruel summer, the man, miss Americana, it’s nice to have a friend (Toronto shout out), lover, soon you’ll get better, London boy, you need to come down...

    That’s a solid 10 songs...plus I like the others too...she never disappoints

So do I. Especially that buildup at the 2.45 mark.
It's of course very theatrical and everything but I'll be damned if the vocals don't tug at the ol' heartstrings.

Her Netflix documentary starts a little slow but the second half is incredible and it's interesting how she writes songs. I love when people write like this.. they get this cool melody and that's all they have and then it just blooms into this incredible work of art.

I didn’t love that. The gimmick gets old quickly.

Her "commentary " songs/videos are just painfully on the nose.
