Vulnicura is the first album in a long time for which I haven't been able to completely make up my mind. Still, it's definitely better than Volta, Biophilia and Medulla (which I find way too inconsistent). I think what I'll eventually land on is that I like it and respect it a lot, but I don't love it like I do her first four albums. There's a lot of things I think are great about it: the vulnerable lyrics and their emotional delivery, a majority of the melodies, some of the strings and the familiar electronics. But then there's a few things that bring it down significantly. The one I'm most affected by is the length of most of the songs. They're just way too long for me. Some of the melodies and lyrics start to repeat themselves and sometimes things slow down more than I would like. It becomes tiring if I'm paying too much attention (like when listening on ear/headphones). My favorites are Quicksand, Stonemilker, Lionsong and Atom Dance. Mouth Mantra is the only one I flat out don't like.

On a more thread-related note... Does anyone know if all the Vulnicura tour dates have been announced, or will there be additional legs in the future?

Don't think anyone knows, but it would be astonishing if she only did festivals in Europe. If that's the case btw, I won't bother seeing her this tour since Vulnicura isn't a 'festival-suited' album in my view.

On a BBC interview (can't remember which) she was asked if she'd give some UK concerts and she said she'd love to and was looking into dates.

From the BBC interview I got the impression they were just winging the tour and adding dates as they go.

During Biophilia, I think she did a more varied set at festival shows, so those dates might actually end up being more interesting.

I hope she performs Atom Dance at some point, even if it is solo.
