The setlist is amazing, for a filmed show. What a great and unexpected mix. Opening with Bliss and Beauty of Speed? LOVE!! Mountain, Talula, Cruel, ICSNY, Graveyard?? Floating City?!?!

Fingers crossed that they broadcast the whole thing.

(I probably just jinxed it though... Now they'll only show Crucify, China, 1000 Oceans and Wednesday)

This Crucify is totally incredible, especially the last seconds.
Perfect delivery, perfect energy, perfect voice.

And The waitress is the best solo version I've heard so far.

    i'm begging for a dvd.

Wow! Yes! Her voice is fantastic. Love the lower, powerful register....

Wow, what the hell! I didn't know she had shows this fall. That Waitress is the best I've ever heard! Is this taped?

An MP3 of the entire performance is up in Sparkletown. Haven't had a chance to listen yet...

I don't know if you've noticed it, but she's out of tune in some parts of some songs. Or it could be the low quality of the files but I totally hear it. Especially in Floating City.

By the way, I don't like the loops, at all. She does not need them. They always sound cheap.

No it's true, she went off key more than once. I think it's simple vocal weakness due to age, I don't think she's not taking care of her voice, she clearly does. With age you lose agility and, sometimes, precision. I guess it depends on your body and technique.

I also like Talula and the Waitress! And Crucify has never been so good. But am I the only one to think that Tori's solo shows have gotten a bit boring? Maybe I've been spoiled by the 2011/2012 tours, but I think she really needs people onstage with her to give pace to the show.

No, you're not the only one. I completely agree. I loved the shows with the orchestra and the quartet and the band. At every show she plays a few songs solo anyway, and I like the contrast.
What struck me is that in Basel she played Digital Ghost solo. I like the way the songs builds up with the band. I always imagined that David Bowie sings it. Without it, the piano parts sound so basic and i wonder why, of all her songs, she chooses to play that one solo.
