There really is no news though. Just some words out of context from a friend of a friend of a poster here. I do fear though that Tori will go all Trump / current US political state just to be "relevant", rather than tyring a different approach, as she tried different with SLG an SW, and her last album UG had no real concept - was just secret sonic selfies she was "feeling".

I don't mind if she writes a political album, or even an album about Trump. My problem is HOW she will do it. If she will adopt that childish tone that she used in Giant's Rolling Pin or Mr. Bad Man, like she's trying to be sarcastic or ironic or whatever, I'm out.
We know she can be political and be goddam great at it. Even ADP has its good political moments. Plus, the Trump administration is a catastrophe is so many aspects that she can talk about a huge lot of topics (health system care, gay marriage, cutting the funds for science, the wall with Mexico...).

    Tori Amos, the Dryad.

I keep hoping to see an instagram of Tori in the studio with Matt and Jon - just for confirmation that there will be love instruments on the record (or better yet, Tori with some new musicians).

It's a bit scary to me that it could become another insular production - like I wonder if the photo shoot was on her property again, the whole tree imagery feels like it was done with NOH.

With that said, I am excited that's new album season is upon us - I can't believe UG is 3 years old! It still has a newness to me.

^I was wondering if Matt and Jon would be on the album this morning. I hope so! I've given up hope of her working with other people but Matt & Jon is better than the Amos-Family-Band sound of UG and Flicker.

I'd love a full album of just Tori and the piano. Is that a pipe dream?

Love this. That's perfect ground for her, or at least the her I first knew and loved. The hidden, the unspoken, the psychic... exposing what's going on inside and underneath...

I like faerie stuff. I like Tori the Dryad. I'm not expecting much from the cover, and that information doesn't tell us anything about what will be used anyway.

I'm not expecting too much "Yo Trump" type stuff but I could be wrong. She generally avoids topical references, that song was one of the few times she didn't. Scarlet's Walk never mentions Bush or 9/11 or anything like that, even on ICSNY.
