Also: I want an Eternal Darkness sequel!
(and the first one needs to be a VC release, or I'll cut-a-peach)

^ There was talk of a spiritual sequel again last year for Wii U and PS4, but between the legal disputes and the porn-scandals I doubt it will ever happen.

I'm really excited to get to play Super Mario Sunshine on the new VC! And if they add Paper Mario: Thousand Year-Door I'll definitely pick that up, too. Hopefully they do Sunshine soon into the launch; that'll lessen the pain of having to wait the majority of the year for Odyssey.

There will be no "second-screen" mode, btw; it is a single screen experience. Kind of odd, considering the DS and WiiU type of game.

This is what surprised me too! I figured the Switch was going to distill all the good features and innovations of their past consoles in one machine and make them more futureproof. There's bits of the Wii motion controls in there with separate joypads for the left and right hand, which can be used for all kinds of (asymmetrical) multiplayer gameplay, so why not the second screen option that the Wii U just never got to develop and expand upon because nobody was buying the damn thing... Seems like a missed opportunity.

Also, speaking of those: people expect their consoles to do much more than just play games these days, they're becoming full fledged home entertainment systems... So where's the apps like youtube & netflix? Can you livestream and share?

And I still think the line up of games announced so far is very very inadequate. People still have a sour taste in their mouths from the horrible lack of titles for the Wii U and they really needed to fix that image. So. What do you get? Zelda now, with a re-release of a few Wii U titles given a second chance and a mario game at christmas. Not very guns blazin', is it?

There is Netflix and Youtube on WiiU, it is just not promoted that much. My first Netflix encounter was over WiiU, and these days group Youtube for me is through WiiU (gamepad is used to search for next vid while current vid is playing).

Even though Switch seems up to par with LAST GEN (ps4 / xbox 360), it is thus automatically lacking next gen.

Worst thing. I can handle an asanine Mario tilt game for iPhone, but tonight a full fledged Fire Emblem was announced for iPhone and Android. Im a fan, Id love playing a new FE on my phone while waiting for a bus to show up, the problem here is that no FE has been announced for Switch. Wtf😣 Is Nintendo trying to undermine its own hardware business ok.

So following up from last year's #Pokemon20 spot, apparently Nintendo bought an ad for Zelda: Breath of the Wild to run during the Super Bowl this weekend. Hopefully that won't end up being an awful waste of money for them haha.

So far I've pre-ordered Breath of the Wild, Super Bomberman R, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Super Mario Odyssey. Really thinking about 1-2 Switch, but it doesn't seem like something I'll play often - my boyfriend rarely plays games with me, and we almost never have people over. I'm also on the fence on if I even want the pro controller. I'll probably just wait to see how the joy-con grip feels.

I pre-ordered a Switch with Breath of the Wild es well. But I am pretty sure I'll cancel that. The thing is just too expensive and there are not enough games announced for this year.

Im pretty sure Nintendo will cancel it because they wont be able to fulfill more than 50% of the pre-orders( being generous here, yes )

No, I would get it day one.
Of course they will not be able to fulfill all the pre-orders. We are talking about Nintendo here. And that is not a good thing.

As much as I love Zelda, the most annoying thing about it is that there is no in-game device to store recipes as far as I know, not even the bases. I fixed this by trying to write everything down (without the effects), and sorting them as practical as possible.

So here is my compact but complete guide to cooking dishes, elixirs and tonics in Breath of the Wild

    Spoilers ahead.
