    SOTW: Wings

I already don't like her voice on this.

She's getting airplay on Radio 2 and this is the track that's going to sell the album? Yikes.

Wings is not one of the tracks I'm expecting to love from the reviews so far lol.

I love the vocal production, it sounds like she sits right next to you. But gosh, those strained high-pitched vocals. Ouch

I just caught the end of Wings - it kinda reminded me of Kate Bush - lol. I kind of like it.

No shit, if Wings had been the first taste of the new album, y'all would've called this the much-feared continuation of Flicker.

Wings was nice, but maybe a bit slight? I didn't mind the vocals, and I'm sure my feelings about it is going to change over time. Perfectly pleasant though. Isn't it at the bottom of Jakes list?

You can rewind the stream and listen. I'm listening now. It is certainly...different. I'm not quite sure what to make of it.

For sure. I'm also impressed that it definitely sounds like she is stretching herself with this album.

Does anyone else get a 90s vibe from this? Not 90s Tori, but 90s urban pop or something?

It's at the 17:55-ish mark for those of you rewinding.

It's pretty, but I'm not blown away. I don't hate it! It reminds me of "Wild Way." That synth is straight-up Madonna's "I'll Remember," which is my favorite song by anyone ever, so there's that.

Listening again on headphones (thanks for the tip .chris!!!). I actually really like it. I love the production. But it sounds kinda dated in parts...? But then I love the synths during "is it too late"... I guess it is the chorus...
