WTSF is my favourite cooling ever. Something about the energy towards the end makes it the most special, definitive version for me.

I heard the album version first, so without that bridge I have a hard time with it -- Sessions is the hard exception to that.

I was really glad to hear her bring the bridge back on the Nashville ADP Boot. It felt like hearing the song anew.

The Nashville ADP boot is underrated, not only does it have Cooling w/ bridge but also the best ending to Hotel I've ever heard and one of the better recent COYI.

Isn’t it also one of the only times she’s belted the end of Spark since 1999?

^ I tried to check it but she didn't play Spark in Nashville 07

Btw, a few days ago I came across Father Lucifer Sylksreen remix, that I hadn't heard in ages (oh good times of Diagnosed Sounds that made me familiar with so much stuff!). And it it were to be re-released on a b-side record, I'd totally go for just instrumental version, it's fantastic. Perfect flow, chill-out vibe, great reinterpretation of a classic song, but still having this "journey/revisiting the devil" aspect. And the storm sounds, accompanied by guitar/banjo(?) notes as a bridge - I'd say 'heaven' if I weren't talking about a Lucifer song.

(On the other hand, all the Jackie's Strength remixes should burn and melt in a cheese hell)

Spark was from Detroit. I got it confused with something else.

Aww, they are kind of terrible but I still love the Jackie's Strength remixes. Well, primary one.

I like the Wedding Cake Meltdown for the downbeat, trancey middle section that comes out of nowhere. It's very pretty!

Such a beautiful performance. What is Cooling about?

A relationship that is going in opposite directions but one side is playing catch-up.
They say you were something in those formative years...

I've always taken the lyric "This is cooling faster than I can" to come from a place where the relationship is already over and it's been long enough that the other has moved on and she should move on but hasn't, and feels like it's too late to say anything.
All I want to be is the very best machine I can be.

^ That's close to my interpretation... it's like bittersweet acceptance. It makes a perfect epilogue to Pele, and honestly would've been fine on that album the last track (instead of Twinkle? sacrilege, I know!!)

I always imagine the day after a tornado when I think of this song. The sky is clear and blue, but the houses are destroyed, and somehow you've decided to move on.
