Broken Arrow sounds Pink Floyd meets Fleetwood Mac. I freaking love it!

^ I think you're more spot on than I am with that. I'm showing my generational difference by mentioning Sheryl Crow and Ween

I associate that wah wah guitar with late 90s r&b, since that's what I was listening to the most in the 90s (I'm sorry <.<)

I fucking live this song. The guitar is ace. Mark took lessons. The bridge is outstanding. Love the "have we lost her" and "over you" vocals.

My first listen reminded me of Scarlet's Walk to Little Amsterdam. The "have we lost her" vocals reminded me of the way she sings some of the background vocals in Little Amsterdam ("cold pressed," for instance.)

Then it goes a bit Rose Dover, and then something else for the bridge. It's weird but I think I like it.

Ok, so, last night I was watching an episode of Sex and The City where they were looking at a gay porno, and for the first time I got what a porno guitar is. Really, I thought it was just some sort of slang for wah wah. LOL.

This song felt so boring the first time I heard it. It doesn't even have a real chorus. Now I'm loving it for that exact reason. I like that it's chilly and drowsy. I still think the guitar sounds quite cheap, compared to the Sheryl Crow's song someone posted some days ago, but whatever. It's really a good song.

Love the sleazy guitar verses and the drummed ending. Less keen on the chorus.

Gah, kinda off-topic but I'm not feeling well right now, sorry guys.

I was listening to Broken Arrow on my phone, in the back of a taxi and then I got robbed. There went Broken Arrow with my phone.

I'm so sorry for you, I was robbed once and it was quite traumatizing...

Thanks! It's terrible, even if it's not a major bad thing.

Have we discussed the meaning of the military phrase Broken Arrow anywhere?

^ interesting! Particularly that the preceding song is called Wings - another term for pilot licence - perhaps military planes.

I immediately thought of Little Amsterdam too. The wahwah guitar seems to try for what Caton was playing during the RAINN performance.

Surprisingly, I love this song. I love the outro especially; the fading "have we lost her?" echo is an eerie and perfect way to end the song.

I love the guitar on this one. It's in place and absolutely cool. prefer the verses to the chorus though. and, yes, the ending is one of the best moments on the album.
incredible the first animal that dreamed of another animal
