you inspired me to do a 10-track playlist of the best of MDNA and Rebel Heart. this is what I came up with:

    I'm Addicted
    Some Girls
    I'm a Sinner
    Love Spent
    Falling Free
    Living For Love
    Devil Pray
    Ghost Town
    Wash All Over Me
    Messiah

It's hard for me to objectively enjoy Rebel Heart knowing what could have been.

It would have been an incredible album if she had stuck to demos and done a major overhaul on the track list.

There were so many great song that didn't make it in favor of terrible songs about cars and guitars, and pussy juice.

You nailed my favorite MDNA songs, ha. For the RH songs, I like Wash All Over Me and Messiah, but the others are meh for me. All in all, a good list though!

And i know a lot of people hate Body Shop, but despite its corny lyrics, I really like the melody and her vocal in it. It's a silly song, but sweet. I have a soft spot for it for some reason. It sounds almost like it could have been a Like a Prayer b-side to me (with very different production, of course).

Funny - that would be my list too, exactly!

Wash All Over Me and Messiah are by far my favorite Rebel Heart tracks, and the only ones that I still listen to constantly, but I had no idea that they were fan favorites.

I love the Rebel Heart Avicii demo. It's the best thing from that era and it wasn't even released.

I also find the Avicii demo for "Wash All Over Me" a lot more interesting than the officially released version.

I’m not a fan of the Aviici mix, but I am also not into his style of production in general.

I think Queen is by far one of the best Rebel Heart era tracks. I don't even understand how it didn't make the final cut.

I just listened to the Avicii version of Wash All Over Me and it's largely generic EDM. I vastly prefer the album version (although I could do without the auto-tune).

I prefer it just because it feels a little more surprising than the album version. Given its lyrics and placement on the tracklisting, it's rather predictable that "Wash All Over Me" would be a ballad. While I agree that the demo's production is a little by-the-numbers, it provides some unexpected contrast to the song's overall structure.

New photo spread and interview in this month's issue of Vogue Italia:

Takeaways from the article/interview in regards to the new album include:

    1. The album will be out this year.
    2. Her life over the past year in Lisbon informed the sound.
    3. She used local musicians.

Wow - this year?! That's exciting!

Does she live in Lisbon or something?

    Thanks as always @Joey!
