Thanks @Joey!
It's the name of the new song she performed as part of the "Like a Prayer/Hallelujah" medley from the Met Gala. A fan that she follows on Instagram created a "single cover" for it using one of her selfies and she shared it on social media this morning with a "coming soon" hashtag. We could still be months away from anything concrete.
Thanks @Joey!
Sooooo I think we're getting the single Friday..? My body is ready.
Not clear what that is -- it could be another independent thing like Secret Project Revolution. In any case, she sounds like she is reading off of cue cards and is in full on British accent mode.
I think her post-2005 output is a unfairly maligned, but the snippet we heard from "Beautiful Game" at the Met Gala performance didn't exactly scream "first single." It does seem like a number of producers have been rumored for the new album, so we might get something that's more of a grab-bag stylistically, which I know was a major complaint from many about the last two records. Maybe she's over working with one person for the bulk of an album. If that's the case, I'd love something more along the lines of Rebel Heart rather than MDNA.
I just assume everything like this is tied to the MDNA skin care line somehow. Especially since there was another video today with the Fat Jewish in it.
I like the poem and I like the look of the video. But I miss the days where she was such a perfectionist. She's definitely reading from cue cards/a monitor, which fine, but it just seems so half-assed and uncommitted. My problem with her over the last few years is that it often looks like she doesn't really care to deliver things at the high standard she set for herself long ago. I just think she's better than this.

Looks like M may have recruited Ariana Grande for a track (or two?):

So, if the rumors are true, we'll be getting Ariana, Nicki, and Cardi B collabs on the album!

Living in my own personal Cornwall bubble
And the Batucateras from Cabo Verde...
Ugh please. No more rent-a-rappers.
peg me as an anti cerebral dummy, but I've loved all of Madonna's output in the past ten years. Hard Candy, personally, is very hit and miss- but I love MDNA and Rebel Heart. I love that they're produced so well.
I adore Rebel Heart but the past decade overall has been rough on Madonna fans, to put it mildly.

Yeah, the last decade has definitely been divisive. For me Hard Candy has maybe 2-3 tracks that are tolerable at best. I (surprisingly) like about half of MDNA. It had potential but needed focus. The bad tracks on it are REALLY damn bad. And I know a lot of people felt she turned it around on Rebel Heart, but for me it's just a sprawling mess. I could probably edit it down to 10 songs I enjoy to make a decent album if I was willing to put the work into it, but I don't even like 'Rebel Heart' as a title.
But I remain optimistic that she still has another really good album in her.
