Boris Johnson (!) has named Kate one of the five women who have inspired him most throughout his life in a new interview...

    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...er_dailymailUK

    Kate Bush

As Mr Johnson is known for his whacky comments and sometimes unruly locks, there is no surprise that he threw a curve ball into the list with singer-songwriter Kate Bush.

In choosing his last entry he said it had been a challenge to chose five women and said Bush had 'stirred his emotions'.

He said she was one British artist who wrote great pop songs which formed the soundtrack to his adolescence.

Despite this he admitted that there were some words in her songs that he couldn't understand.

He also said that he didn't understand why she 'hopped around in a red chiffon thing'.

Maybe for once, someone will call me "Sir" without adding, "You're making a scene."

The Staatstheater Hannover is presenting an evening showing the work of three choreographers.
One of them is Marc Goecke, a long term Kate fan.
His part of the show, "kiss a crow", contains dances choreographed to the music of KB-
Here is a little snippet from the trainings:

    New message from Kate:

A huge thank you to all the heroic health workers, scientists and key workers who are looking after the people who need their help.
Please stay safe and take care, everyone.
    With love,
    Kate

    That tickled me.

Also, The Just Joans are great. You should listen to them.

I just stumbled across this fabulous photo by Melvon Sokolsky of the late german actress Christine Kaufmann (she was probably in her twenties then).
Here, she looks a lot like Kate (Hounds of Love era), doesn't she?

By the way, KB was one of CKs most favourite musicians and This Womans Work was played at her memorial.
