I'm listening to Misty in the middle of flaming June and it's still bloody wonderful.

But a whole new era would be exciting.

It mostly makes me wonder how much her music is influenced by her environment, really.

I spent the weekend in Tahoe and had to walk to a beach around sunset, put on Lake Tahoe, and stare out across the water. It's very cold, very blue and VERY clear. Not much snow on the mountains this year as we had a dry-ish winter.

"Building a new studio" sounds like pretty much the exact opposite of "new album soon" to me, but it's very interesting.

"Peter, have you finished that report?"
"Well, I'm building a new office..."

Well, as the case was with 50WfS, she may have already been writing new songs on the piano - to be recorded later as the studio is set.
Anyway, seems like it will take a couple of years until the next album is out.

Edit: I think it was in 1999 when Kate announced she was having her studio upgraded and starting to write again - it took six more years for Aerial to take shape.

    KB10 in 2020.

(wait, do we count Director's Cut as an album proper? We don't, right?)

I should probably update the info thread. And we could totally have a "new album info" thread so it can sit there with nothing for a few years looking sadly ignored.

I hope so. But she doesn't seem to do momentum, does she?

Interview with Midge Ure where he says Kate seriously considered giving up music. http://themusic.com.au/interviews/al...cyclone/14873/ Thank fuck she changed her mind. That's two of her best albums we would have missed out on.

Kate was the answer to a Sudden Death question on Eggheads today. The words "The Kick Inside," "Lionheart," and "Never For Ever" were all spoken. That is all.

They got the year wrong. I'm considering writing a strongly worded letter. I'm also considering taking a long, hard look at my priorities. These two things are not connected...

ok I've never heard of the Waterboys before but that was actually one of the best covers I've heard.
