love your laugh
love your smile
the way you shit yourself every night
love your teething
love when i sing
to you while you're lying in your snuggle-ed in your crib
=D listening to jagged little pill always made me feel nostalgic, I feel happy she's having a baby =]
I do have to admit that I've lost some of the love for her newer songs - but then when I hear others like TORCH, which takes a lot of balls to write and record, it renews some of my faith.
I don't think I'd want an album centering around her child any more than I'd want one from Tori (Ribbons Undone - bleck!).
I agree. She got pigeon-holed after JLP, and no one wants to admit that she has grown and matured away from that very immediate, less-mature emotional songwriting.
I think from SFIJ on, her songs have been either upbeat and positive (Thank U, Giggling Again For No Reason, Everything) or introspective and melancholy (everything else, LOL)
After you talked about Torch, I went and re-listened (It's been a while.) I forgot what an amazingly simple and gorgeous it is. Songs like that prove to me that her way of dealing with disappointment and disillusionment have changed a lot since '95.
"On the Rag"
why does that sound like a should have been L7 album?
My favourite Alanis song is Surrendering.
Ha. She looks glowing and great, but I can't help but have flashbacks to this Alanis:
Btw, she contributed a song to the film she's in. Radio Free Albermath or whatever it's called. The song is "Professional Torturer" and you can listen here: http://alanismorissette.info/viewtopic.php?t=50696
It's recorded from inside a premier of the movie, but the quality is great. I personally think it's a fantastic song; great lyrics, her voice sounds gorgeous, and it's very SFIJ.
Awww, she looks great. Thanks for posting, menju!
Unworthy is the ruler whose subjects seek the solace of false gods.
awww she looks beautiful.
and that pic of her taking a walk with alicia silverstone... 90s heaven!
I don't understand the question, and I won't respond to it.
