The organization I work for, American Booksellers Foundation for Free Expression (we work on First Amendment issues that impact independent booksellers and their customers) is raffling off a trip to the FIU/Books & Books Writers Conference in Grand Cayman. I'm publicizing this on other forums, but I'm only telling you guys this: we haven't had particularly stellar ticket sales, so you have a pretty good chance of winning!

Learn more about the conference and the raffle here: http://news.bookweb.org/news/abffe-r...ers-conference

Unfortunately, the online store through which we are selling the tickets malfunctioned at the perfect time - right in the middle of our Banned Books Week sale and this raffle thing. To purchase tickets, go to http://www.abffe.com and read the message posted at the top of the page. Basically, it tells you how to contact me so I can process your order.

I know this seems spammy, but it really is a good opportunity, and I wanted to let forumzers know about it, especially with the ridiculous odds. And, personally, I don't particularly care how well the tickets sell as much as I care about having done my job, which is to publicize the raffle as widely as possible. But I don't want to run afoul of any rules, so please, mods, delete this post if you think it violates the terms.
